The Cottage Reviews

Comfortable and well fitted out. Ideal base for nature lovers with plenty of bird reserves in the area. One point I should make is my agreed with the previous review the single mattress on the bed nearest the door needs replacement. Fortunately there is was an alternative available.
Lovely cottage, well equipped and in great location. The owners on hand immediately to rectify any issues in the unlikely event you have any. The only issue we had was that one of the beds in the tripple bedroom needs replacing but didn't bother us as we only needed two of the beds anyway. Have stayed many times and will certainly be booking again. Thank you for sharing your lovely cottage.
Lovely cottage. Everything there that we needed. Room set up works for multi generation family. Would definitely recommend if staying in that area.
Michelle
Absolutely loved our stay at the cottage. Instructions really clear and we phoned Anthony 30 minutes out as instructed to arrange access to the property. Once we arrived, the welcome pack was very welcome indeed tea, coffee, sugar and milk, plus a bottle of Prosecco
Lovely cottage close to the village and ideal for dog walking. Comfy beds with clean linen. Everything you could need in the kitchen. We enjoyed our stay and were blessed with excellent weather so we could sit out in the garden
We had a lovely time at The Cottage . It was our 4th vist . Great location. Lovely big garden . About to book again for next year
Lovely cottage. Bonus having two bathrooms. Great location easy walking distance into the village. Easy parking. Really nice owners. Highly recommend.

Cosy cottage, home from home everything there you require, bedrooms cosy and clean, living area cosy and airy plenty of room, the kitchen had everything you needed with all the essentials which was great, we met Anthony during our stay friendly gentleman. The village tis self is verey clean neat and tidy.enjoyed our holiday.

Spotlessly clean accommodation. Welcome Prosecco was a lovely touch. Milk, tea & coffee provided for a hot drink after our journey here. A comfortable cottage for our party of 4 plus Winnie the Labrador. One downside of bringing a dog is that there is no direct access from the house to the well sized enclosed garden. Someone has to put the dog on a lead & walk them round the cottage to the gate into the garden. The cottage is an easy walk into the town with pubs giving a warm welcome & serving excellent food. Bus stop right outside the cottage where the No.56 runs between Skegness & Lincoln. Will recommend to family & friends.
Michael
We spent an enjoyable week at The Cottage. The property is very well equipped, has a secure outdoor space for the dog and is located in a good position in Burgh Le Marsh. The owner provided a generous welcome pack and was on hand to offer advice on places to visit. In Burgh Le Marsh, we had a good meal in the Fleece pub booking seems to be necessary and some really excellent food from the Chinese take away. We visited several of the nearby coastal towns and villages and in particular enjoyed Gibraltar Point nature reserve. The Lincolnshire Wolds are also easily within reach.
We had to make an emergency booking for this lovely cotttage for xmas as another property booked through cottages. Com, as on arrival was unfit for habitat. The owner was amazing and accepted our booking for our family and saved our xmas. The cottage is in gorgeous grounds, clean, warm and has everything you need for your stay. As a family we had a fabulously relaxed time here and xmas dinner was served on a lovely big table. The owners were extremely kind and even brought us 2 extra chairs. The garden was perfect for my 3 year old grandson who loves a little game of football. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone visiting the Skegness area, you can even leave your car here and catch the bus outside to go into Skegness town centre attractions and return to the peaceful backdrop of this lovely cottage. Thankyou again for your kindness and a wonderfull family xmas in your gorgeous cottage.
Alison
The Cottage was exactly as shown in the photographs. Comfortable, cosy and very clean. We found the beds a little short for tall people, hence the 4 stars but overall everything good. Thanks for the welcome pack.
Our holidays start on saturday. Your bookings start from friday so we missed a day .friday Otherwise the cottage was fantastic Regards Mr kevin busst
The cottage has everything you could need for your stay here. Kitchen fully equipped, lounge and dining area big enough to accommodate all guests, beds comfy, garden beautiful and even has an outdoor loo to save having to go back inside!!
Shirley
We had a great week in this lovely spacious well equipped cottage. Very comfortable beds and settees. Its ideally placed on the outskirts of the village so a few minutes walk to many pubs and places to eat, including the Windmill where the food and service were outstanding. Lovely breakfast as well in the bakery. There is also a Spar and Coop for groceries. Outside the property there are bus stops to Skegness and opposite towards Lincoln and villages in between. We enjoyed our holiday in this friendly village and wouldnt hesitate to return if we were in the area again.
Excellent property, brilliant location, cannot fault it
A lovely property in a great location, close to everything the village has but also within easy reach of all main towns, a great bus service and the bus stop is just outside the front door. The property is first class, everything you need and really comfortable, the owners Anthony and Kirsten are just next door and are ready to help with any problems or questions you may have. If you are coming into this area for a holiday you'd be silly not to try to book this.
The cottage was absolutely fantastic. Every need catered for. Tea, coffee, milk and a bottle of bubbly on arrival. Everywhere was clean and tidy. Lovely enclosed garden for the doggie to have a little wonder. Host was very approachable and easy to deal with. Drying room was brilliant, we were able to pack a bit lighter and complete our washing with the facilities available, with 5 children it made things a bit easier! Area was great many pubs and restaurants available. Bakery was amazing. Antiques and collectibles shop in the town was great for the collectors!! All in all a pleasant stay and will certainly be returning. Thank you.
Sally Anne
Lovely cottage in a fab location. Everything you could think of supplied and cottage was spotlessly clean. Very grateful for the tea, coffee and Prosecco lovely touch to welcome us. My only reason for 4 stars not 5 is that there is no direct access from the cottage to the garden so because we had a dog, we had to put him on a lead, walk him around the side of the house and into the garden then stay outside with him not ideal in the winter.
The property was lovely, well maintained and very clean. The welcome pack was much appreciated. It would have been nice to know that the garden wasnt accessed directly from the house as I had to put the dog on a lead every time we went to the garden and as Im an early riser taking her out at 5.00am in my pjs was fun, especially when it was raining!!!! All said though we really enjoyed our stay thank you.
Excellent property Very homely with everything you could want for Owners only ... Excellent property Very homely with everything you could want for Owners only live next and are very welcoming and helpful Very dog friendly Ideal base for visiting Lincolnshire So good that we rebooked for next year on the day we arrived

Good accommodation and nice area close to all amenities and sea side attractions
Really lovely, well equipped cottage in a very pretty village. Immaculately clean. Spacious and comfortable lounge. Kitchen with all modcons. Spacious bedrooms with very comfortable beds. We really enjoyed our stay and will be booking again next year.
Great location to everything and lovely little village
A lovely clean well kept holiday cottage. Plenty of space throughout and a great garden area for sitting out and keeping our dog safe. The cottage had everything we needed, short of nothing. Lovely to meet he owner and have a chat with him. We had no problems while we were there, but good to know he was available if needed. Would definitely stay here again. Many thanks.
Lovely cottage. Traditionally furnished. Kitchen well equipped. Would say that second double is a little snug. Great drying room for wet clothes, washing etc. Enclosed garden with picket fence. Bus stops outside which is handy, however top deck looks into bedroom so beware !!! Nice little town. Pubs, chinese takeaway, cafes, Coop. Aldi and M&S Food just outside Skegness. Great location for sea and Wolds. Beautiful beaches. A few more maps or walking books would be nice. All in all had a great holiday.
Denice
We really enjoyed staying at the Cottage it had everything you needed and more. Very clean and comfortable. Had one slight problem which Anthony was there within 5mins to sort out. Very safe garden for our little dog. Excellent location for going to places. Will definitely book again and recomend to people.

This is our 3rd visit to The Cottage, that shows how much we like going. There is everything that a family needs with the relative quietness of a village setting. Only a short drive to Skegness and the shops, a real home from home.
Owner Anthony very helpful but not intrusive. All beds very comfortable. Kitchen and cottage facilities excellent. Bus stop literally outside the cottage so no need to drive if you prefer not to. Plenty of garden seating which is enclosed if you have children. Would recommend this property.
A comfortable and clean property in a lovely village location. The cottage had everything we needed and was a nice size for our three generations and dog. The sizeable and secure garden was enjoyed by all. Highly recommended.
We had a lovely stay at The Cottage x Short walk into the Village . The Cottage had everything we need . We are already looking at booking for next year . Would highly recommend to a family x
Adrian
Will definitely go back. Had everything needed for a great holiday.
Lovely property good location everything you could want in a holiday stay, however both the double beds are dire and both mattresses need replacing urgently. We would definitely book this cottage again in the future provided the bed situation is addressed.
Adrian
Lovely stay, cannot fault or complain about anything, lovely original feel to the cottage . Only minor gripe is transport link is not the best if you do not drive, it was February when we went so I don't know if it is any different throughout the summer. Again lovely stay and made to feel welcome .
A fantastic cottage in a lovely village, great for seaside entertainment or walking in the countryside, would highly recommend this cottage.
