The Glass House Reviews

What a pleasant surprise to find such a well equipped holiday home right in the middle of everywhere, not miles from anywhere. Everything a multigenerational family would need. A proper TARDIS!
Our 2nd time at the glass house, great location just 5 mins from sea, shops etc, great size house for all generations, good size rooms, quiet street.
Exceptionally comfy beds, great location being so close to walk to Hunstanton, plenty of space and good facilities
Lindsay
Nice property just off main road but quiet. Easy walk to either beach. Large gravel at front was difficult to park on and also couldnt get pushchair to front door nor wheeled suitcases. Two year old slipped over as there is a slight slope. Through room was lovely with dining area at front of house, then kitchen then seating area. All armchairs seemed quite low. Snug room was useful for children. However the furniture in this room had not been moved for some time and when we moved it to check nothing had been lost underneath it was very dusty. Stairgates were very useful and worked well and it was nice to have highchair and crockery and cutlery for small children. Could have done with more storage for food and we moved games from one cupboard to use this. Loads of cutlery, crockery, saucepans etc although the wine glasses were very thin and two of them had been put back in the cupboard with cracks in them. Downstairs bedroom was useful particularly with cloakroom next door. Pillows however were a bit thin.Weather wasnt brilliant when we were away but if it had been nicer we may have wanted to use the garden more and this could do with a tidy up. Bedrooms upstairs were nice although mattresses were soft. Rainforest Shower in family bathroom does need descaling and the shower had to be held by hand as the sliding handset was broken and just slid to the bottom. Hunstanton itself is a lovely old fashioned seaside resort with lovely gardens, loads of free toilets and nice beaches.
Lovely place to stay with family and we all enjoyed it, and with the pets too. It's, in a great location, has excellent facilities with great wifi, and is very comfortable and clean accomodation. Short walking distance to the beach, promenade, arcade, sunset views, and nearby Park. All comfortable beds and furniture. We spent a wonderful 7 nights at The Glass House. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone staying Hunstanton.
The property has plenty of room for 6 adults 2 young children and a baby. The kitchen a bit odd had no food store space, only issue, so all good. Good position near the sea, handy corner shop and quiet road.
Absolute little Gem. The owner was excellent with communication. Cannot rate it highly enough. The beds were exceptional. And the kitchen dining area is perfect. My only comment would be one more small sofa in the kitchen area for the 10 people it sleeps. Wasnt a problem, we dusted off the rattan sofa and put the cushions on. Perfect stay. Thank you, will definitely be back.

Myself and my family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Glass House. There was 7 adults, a teenager, a toddler and two dogs staying and it was plenty big enough for all of us. The house is situated on a quiet street and is walking distance to the shops and beach. The only downside to our trip was the weather but that is out of everyones control. We would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Hunstanton.
The house had lots of good points, and some not so good The shower in the ensuite had some mould and rust. The downstairs toilet door scraped badly on the floor tiles Parking was really difficult when the people opposite parked outside their house, the street was so narrow that we driving towards the beach was difficult, I doubt if emergency vehicles could get through. Some splashback tiles at all the bathrooms would make them look much nicer and hide the cracked and broken paintwork.

We spent a wonderful 4 nights at The Glass House and found it clean, spacious, very well equipped and well located. Thoroughly enjoyed our little holiday and would definitely recommend it.
The size of the house was very nice. The kitchen was new. There were plenty of glasses and mugs available. Cutlery and crockery supplies were good but pots and pans were so old looking and we didn't feel like using them. We had invited two other families ther. We realised the following morning that there was a big yellow stain on our white bedding. We were reluctant to sleep there and hopped the rooms offered our guests had better bedding. I was embarrassed to ask. There were no spare toilet rolls, specially for downstairs toilet where visited most. Hand wash and toiletries near to none.
Overall a lovely house & great weekend had by all
Fantastic house, love the open plan kitchen. Plenty of room for 6 adults a teenager and two boys, plus 2 dogs. Great plus that we were allowed to leave the dogs in the house, pity more places dont do that, we always miss out on castles and stately homes because they dont allow dogs. Well equipped, could be a little cleaner, pillows stored on top of wardrobes were covered in dust. Dish washer leaking. Great family holiday
We, a family of 4 adults 2 teenagers and 2 dogs, throughly enjoyed our stay at The Glass House. The house was very comfortable, ideal for us with all the equipment and facilities we needed. Highly recommended.
We were a family coming together to celebrate Christmas. The house is beautifully laid out and there was a worry we would have to be on our best behaviour. We were able to relax and enjoy the home from home energy this letting exudes. Well kept, the owners are friendly and accommodating when contacted Highly recommend, great location and a warm friendly place to stay.
Very impressed with The Glasshouse, Hunstanton. Very well equipped beautiful house, everything that you would need was provided. Great position, with access to all amenities on the seaside front. Very near bus routes to visit sites along the coast, some great walks nearby for all abilities. The local theatre was excellent, well worth a visit. The local eateries all good value and excellent quality. I would score our week at The Glasshouse 10 out of 10.
Great holiday property in a great holiday location,we enjoyed our stay at The Glass House, our age range was from 2 years up to 71 years and we all fitted in,the location was perfect with just 5 min stroll to cliff tops and then left for the town or right for old hunstanton, would not hesitate to book The Glass House again.

Whilst one could have quibbles about some minor issues and details around the house, the Glass House is an extremely well located and comfortable holiday home and was more than spacious enough for our party of 8 5 adults and 3 children. It was easy to arrange charging for an electric vehicle and the owner responded quickly to a minor issue we had. Overall, we were very pleased.
Great place to stay. Excellent location for walking to most facilities. Our family group of 3 generations enjoyed the open plan downstairs design with plenty of space for cooking, dining, sitting and childrens play. Very comfortable with the 3 bathrooms and the luxury of a separate tv room off limits to the toddlers! The house was very well equipped and the owner easily reached for a couple of queries on arrival. An outdoor tap would be a great addition for use on arrival back from the beach. Also the wonderful fitted wardrobes would benefit from some shelves. Thank you we plan to return.
Lovely home, just a few issues, didn't spoil our holiday but want to be honest about what customers expect. Toilet seat in one of the ensuites was broken. The taps in the downstairs toilet are on the wrong way round. The showers do have mould in them which is easily removed. The taps have limescale on them which is also easily removed.I couldn't find any dusters or a full size sweeping brush to clean, so had to make do with the small one. The vacuum cleaner works but needs a good clean as it smells when you use it. It looks as if the cleaners only do a quick job and when we had to be out for 10am and can't get in until 5pm they have plenty of time.
An excellent property very well equipped, very comfortable, extremely clean. It would appear that no expense has been spared in developing this property and we benefited from this. Sometimes listings can exaggerate but this listing was correct it is only 5 minutes walk to the beach and 2 minutes to the nearest shop. We contacted the owner when the barbecue gas cylinder ran out within half an hour, the cylinder was replaced excellent service during our visit. Thank you!
Good location, you can walk into town and to the beach. Theres a Premier mini supermarket round the corner. The house is roomy comfortable and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. Hunstanton is a lovely resort and there are plenty of places not too far away to visit. Sandringham Estate and house is a 10 minutes drive and well worth a visit. Brancaster beach is really good, go early and park up for the day. Theres a good cafe and toilets at the beach. Really enjoyed the house and Norfolk.
Deborah
Beautiful cosy & comfortable house well equipped and appointed. Plenty of room for everyone. Loads of cutlery & crockery & big mugs! Great location for exploring the pretty villages & towns of North Norfolk and its fabulous coastline. The ground floor bedroom makes it a great house for a multi generational holiday. Highly recommended. Hope to return
Parking on the drive was really awkward as the gravel was far too deep spilling out on the pavement. Other than a few areas of general maintenance probably not obvious to the cleaners. We had a good stay the property was well equipped and in a good location
Elizabeth
Great house for a family get together it was ideal for 272 year olds. The location was perfect as we could easily walk into Hunstanton and the recreation ground was only 2 minutes away so the youngsters could go and let off steam and the dog could have a run.
Glenda
Lovely house in a great location for adults and children very comfortable and ... Lovely house in a great location for adults and children very comfortable and well equipped for us all we had a great stay
Christopher
The Glass house was well equipped with all the facilities required the location is ideal in Hunstanton for accessing the town and its many activities the promenade is only a short stroll away whilst all the other areas of North Norfolk are within easy access. We had a fantastic week in the glasshouse very comfortableI even met the owner on departure who cut his own grass which is a nice touch. The only slight issue was the access to the driveway which is heavily gravelled and was quite difficult but the owner advises us that this is to be replaced very soon. All in all an excellent holiday experience.
Debbie
Wonderful ! ! Fantastic holiday home for our large family. Everything you could wish for was provided. They even had plastic buckets and spades for the kids. Couldnt fault The Glass House.
We took our children and grandchildren away and the house was just perfect. We were blessed with good weather too so all in all we had an amazing holiday. Would love to come back.
Gillian
The biggest problem is dealing with Sykes themselves. Emails are not responded to and the phone lines were either constantly engaged or went to answer phone. Thankfully the local caretaker contacted me and I dealt with him direct.
Excellent house in a great location and ideal for exploring North norfolk.
