The Old Bells, Campsall

We recently stayed at this holiday let and overall had a really enjoyable experience. The property was very clean and incredibly spacious, much more so than the photos suggest. It comfortably accommodated our group of 10 adults, 4 children and 3 dogs, and the size of the space made it ideal for a family stay. The kitchen and bar area were well stocked, which meant we could easily cook some lovely meals together during our stay. The beds were also comfortable and cosy, making for a great nights sleep after busy days. The pool table was a hit and was enjoyed by all the family. The location was another big plus, with a beautiful country park and wooded area just behind the house, which was perfect for walks and getting some fresh air. For convenience, there is a local shop just five minutes away, which made picking up essentials very easy. There are a couple of things worth noting. The property is advertised as having an outdoor area, but this is no longer available, which was a bit disappointing. In addition, there are no windows downstairs to let in fresh air in the main living areas. The bedroom layout could also be described more clearly in the listing. Two of the bedrooms are open with no doors, and you need to walk through one to access another. One of these is also located near the stairs and bathroom, so it can get a bit noisy, which may not suit everyone. Overall, though, we had a lovely stay and would recommend this property, especially for larger groups looking for a spacious and welllocated place to enjoy time together.

The house exceeded all expectations and myself and my family had the most wonderful time. Communication from the owner is fab and he is quick to respond to any queries. Cant wait to go back. Many thanks, Katie and family.

An amazing experience, the property was above expectations. The owner was fantastic, kept in touch with us about the property and any questions we had, wanted to help make our stay the best he could. Would recommend 100, beautiful village too.

We had an amazing time. The property was perfect for us to relax and forget about work. the bedrooms were comfortable and there was space for everyone that came to sleep well. 1010 experience we will be back

Very enjoyable 3day weekend stay for family and friends to celebrate an 80th Birthday. Great facilities with Pool Table, two hottubs, internet access, well equipped kitchen and useful Bar area for entertaining. A couple of minor maintenance items which have been mentioned to the Proprietor and will be dealt with.

Our family stayed in this fabulous place for my Dads 70th birthday celebrations. On arriving it has the wow factor, we were surprised on how big the place was. It was exactly what we needed, enough space so that we could all chill in different areas, lounge is huge, great to get us all together! Decor was fab, made it feel welcoming. Thank you for the fantastic stay, would definitely recommend to large families.

What a brilliant house it was such an amazing place to spend my 40th birthday with family. The rooms were so clean and spacious and well equipped. The bedrooms are lovely. Would absolutely recommend.

Definite wow factor on arrival. However, we had to rewash a number of pots on arrival one bowl had a clump of hair in it. No oven gloves present. Thought there may have been at least salt and pepper left in the property. Some rubbish and underpants found in 2 of the bedrooms. My husband and I booked the property and had a bedroom with 2 double beds. On checking the 1st bed there was a stain so used the 2nd bed. The cleaning of the property was below the standard we would expect. We will not be returning.
